This Cookie Policy explains how FunPayroll.com ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar session-management technologies when you access and use the FunPayroll.com web application. Because we process sensitive employment and payroll data, our use of cookies is strictly limited to security and core platform functionality.
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a web server when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by online services to facilitate application functionality, recognize your browser across different page requests, and maintain secure authentication states (i.e., keeping you securely logged in).
FunPayroll.com uses only "Strictly Necessary" cookies. These are essential for the operation of the platform and cannot be switched off in our systems without breaking the application's ability to function safely.
To maximize security, these cookies are configured with HttpOnly (preventing client-side script access) and Secure (ensuring they are only transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections) attributes.
| Cookie Name / Prefix | Purpose & Technical Role | Duration |
|---|---|---|
.AspNetCore.Session(or similar auth tokens) |
Authentication: Maintains your secure login state as you navigate between pages. Without this, you would be forced to log in on every single page load. | Session (Expires upon closing the browser or after an idle timeout) |
.AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* |
Security: Generates a unique, cryptographically secure token to protect forms (like timecard submissions) from Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. | Session |
fp_tz |
Preference: Stores your browser's time zone name (for example, "America/Los_Angeles") so that dates and times are displayed in your local time. Contains no personal or identifying information. | 1 year |
We believe that workforce data should never be monetized. FunPayroll.com does not use, embed, or permit any of the following:
Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings preferences. However, because FunPayroll.com relies exclusively on Strictly Necessary cookies for security and authentication, disabling cookies will prevent you from logging into or using the web application.
You can safely clear your browser's cookies at any time; doing so will simply log you out of your current FunPayroll session, requiring you to enter your credentials again upon your next visit.
The FunPayroll mobile application (available for iOS and Android) does not rely on web browser cookies. Instead, authentication state in the mobile app is maintained using secure, device-local cryptographic token storage managed directly by the operating system's secure enclave (e.g., Android Keystore).
If future feature developments require the introduction of new cookies (such as saving a specific user preference), we will update this policy and detail the new cookie's specific purpose. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Cookie Policy.
